Power Point Lesson

Power Point InstructionGrade Level:

Sixth

Objectives:

1.Students will be able to create a five-slide power point presentation on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

2.  Students will use clipart to illustrate their slides.

Sunshine State Standards:

Visual Arts Standard 1: The student understands and applies multimedia technologies.

Visual Arts Standard 2: The student creates and communicates a range of subject matter, symbols, and ideas using knowledge and structure of visual arts (multimedia).

Materials:

1.Computers with power point installed.

2.Sample presentation

3.Instructional handout.

Time:

This lesson will last approximately 40 minutes per session for a period of two days.

Activity:

Day 1-Students will view sample power point presentation.  They will then follow the instructions on the handout to create five slides with the following titles: How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, First,

Second, Third, Fourth, and In Review.  Students will save this work for the following session.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Activity:

Day 2- Students will open their saved presentation.  They will then use their instructional handout to include sandwich-making instructions on each slide.  Students will use clipart to illustrate their slides.

Evaluation:

Students will present their power point slides to the class.  Grade will be based largely upon whether or not students followed instructions.  Creativity of illustrations will play a small part.
